Three nephews kill uncle over ₹60,000 dispute in Rajkot

In Kubliyapara, located near Thoral in Rajkot, three nephews have murdered their maternal uncle over a dispute regarding the non-repayment of borrowed money. According to a report by Sandesh, 52-year-old Chinabhai Haribhai Jadeja, a vegetable vendor, was in Kubliyapara on November 2 when Kamlesh Rajeshbhai Parmar and his brothers, Vijay and Amit, arrived there. During a quarrel over the failure to return the money, Kamlesh launched a fatal attack on Chinabhai with a knife. As people gathered following the incident, the accused fled after issuing threats. Chinabhai, who was critically injured, passed away during treatment at the hospital.

Investigations have revealed that seven months ago, Chinabhai had borrowed ₹60,000 from his nephew for medical treatment of an illness. Due to financial constraints, he was unable to repay the money on time, leading the nephews to repeatedly demand the funds. It has also come to light that the accused set fire to Chinabhai's house. PI Shaktisinh Sodha of Thoral police station stated that the police had previously registered a case of assault and arrested the accused, but following the death, proceedings have been initiated to add the section for murder to the case. The deceased, Chinabhai, was a father of 8 children and supported his family by selling vegetables.
