A strange incident of bitumen melting on the National Highway in Rajkot's Jetpur amid winter

According to TV9 Gujarati's report, although the winter season is ongoing in Rajkot district's Jetpur, bitumen has started melting on the National Highway. Due to this bizarre incident, local residents are facing severe difficulties and serious questions have been raised regarding the quality of the road.

According to received details, on Amarnagar Road and Junagadh Road, especially from Sardar Chowk to Market Yard and up to Champarajpur, bitumen has melted and spread across the entire road. Due to this condition, the tires of vehicles passing over the road are getting stuck in the bitumen, while pedestrians walking on foot are facing the problem of their sandals getting trapped in the bitumen.

To solve this serious problem, dust was thrown over the melted bitumen by the authorities. However, this remedy created a new problem and dust storms started flying on the road. Due to this dust, surrounding businessmen as well as local residents are having to endure immense trouble.

It has come to light that this entire road was built by the Highway Authority. Complaints have arisen in this matter that the bitumen patch work done on the highway has melted, due to which the tires of two-wheelers and four-wheelers are sticking to the road. Furthermore, due to footwear getting stuck, the movement of pedestrians has also become extremely difficult.

As vehicles pass through this dust-covered road, dust flies into the eyes of drivers, and shopkeepers of shops situated around the road are also facing various dust-related problems. This incident of bitumen melting shortly after being built has put a question mark on the quality of construction. Whether the reason behind this is intense heat or if faulty construction material was used, is currently a subject of investigation.

Fearing vehicle skidding and accidents, anger is being witnessed among the citizens. People are demanding that the concerned authorities should immediately start an investigation into this matter, take appropriate action, check the quality of the road, and bring a permanent solution to this problem.
