Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Sangrur, Punjab. Describing the Punjab government as corrupt, he alleged that recovery amounts from here are being sent to Delhi. He stated that the 'Sardar' of Delhi has placed a person from Delhi in every ministry, who then sends the money to Delhi.
According to a report by Sandesh (Desh), Kharge termed the Aam Aadmi Party as the 'B-team' of the BJP. He remarked that whenever Congress was winning in Gujarat or Goa, this party intervened there. He questioned why they interfere in states like Karnataka or Maharashtra when they have no existence of their own. He further added that these people want to destroy democracy and are promoting Modi, the BJP, and the RSS; therefore, such people must be taught a lesson.
Referring to his 60 years of political experience, Kharge said that he has never seen such a corrupt government until now. He also mentioned that Rahul Gandhi had spoken with people, in which one mother spoke about her child being shot and another mother spoke about both her children dying due to drug addiction. People also raised concerns regarding corruption and the poor law and order situation here.
Mallikarjun Kharge is a politician and lawyer from Karnataka. He has been serving as the 61st President of the Indian National Congress since 2022 and has been the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha since 2021. He has been a Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka since 2020.
