Pawan Kalyan attributes victory in rural local body polls to welfare schemes

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena Party (JSP) chief K. Pawan Kalyan has attributed the decisive victory of the ruling alliance in the ZPTC and MPTC rural local body elections to the development and welfare measures undertaken by the government in villages.

According to a report by The Hindu, Pawan Kalyan stated that the counting trends make it clear that the people have unwavering faith in the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance. Describing the victory as a 'decisive mandate', he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the voters.

He further added that the government's primary focus had been on the creation of basic amenities and infrastructure in rural areas. Particular emphasis was placed on providing drinking water supply through the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Speaking on the financial resources for developmental works, Pawan Kalyan noted that funds were mobilised under the Central Government's 'Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment' (SASCI) scheme, which were utilised for rural development. He stated that it was due to all these efforts that the alliance received such significant support from rural voters.
