Severe fire incidents reported in cities including Rajkot, Palanpur, and Surat

According to a report by Sandesh, several serious fire accidents have recently occurred in various cities of Gujarat. A massive fire broke out in the Shyamal Upvan high-rise building located on Mavdi-Kankot Road in Rajkot. The fire started on the 8th floor of the building and rapidly spread to the 10th floor, causing a heavy stampede. The fire brigade took prompt action and safely evacuated people from the second floor; fortunately, no loss of life was reported in this incident.

On the other hand, a fierce fire broke out late at night in two warehouses of plastic and wood in the Palanpur GIDC area of Banaskantha. The operation to bring this fire under control was so extensive that firefighters had to be called from Deesa as well. Additionally, a fire incident occurred at the warehouse of Balaji Trading located in Mota Borsara GIDC of Surat. The exact cause of the fire in this Surat incident is not yet known.

Another fire incident took place at a dumping site in Bhadkodra village of Ankleshwar. It is suspected that the fire at this dumping site was caused by a spark from firecrackers. With such incidents occurring one after another in industrial warehouses and high-rise buildings across the state, concerns regarding safety have increased among citizens and traders.

Due to the promptness of the fire department in all incidents, major loss of life was averted. However, it has been stated that adhering to strict safety standards has become inevitable to prevent such accidents in the future.
