Threats in Bishnoi gang's name and Surat housebreaking case solved

Several criminal cases have come to light in recent operations conducted by the Mumbai Crime Branch and Surat Police. The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 30-year-old IT engineer Vaibhav Mishra from Bengaluru. Vaibhav Mishra is accused of threatening well-known Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Tusshar Kapoor for extortion. According to reports from NDTV India and Aaj Tak, the accused sent audio clips to the actors and demanded crores of rupees. In these threats, he identified himself as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the case of Tusshar Kapoor, the accused even identified himself as 'Harry Boxer'. However, Mumbai Police's preliminary investigation revealed that Vaibhav Mishra has no actual connection with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He was merely trying to extort money by intimidating people in the name of the gang.

On the other hand, the modus operandi of the Bishnoi gang has also surfaced in the Tiger Shroff case. According to reports from Sandesh and the Times of India, the Bishnoi gang used the bank accounts of common people to transfer money to shooters. The gang used the accounts of rickshaw drivers and shopkeepers to transfer money to shooters. The Mumbai Crime Branch found in its investigation that the gang's operative Anil Pandit, based abroad, was giving instructions to shooters Phool Singh, Rehan, and Ritik. Additionally, the police are also investigating reports of bomb blast threats received by Amitabh Bachchan and Diljit Dosanjh via email. A crime case was also reported in Ahmedabad, where a fake police officer extorted 10,000 rupees from a couple by threatening to make their photos viral.

Surat city has also seen a major success for the police. Rander police have arrested a habitual thief, solving 8 crimes. These crimes include 7 housebreaking thefts and 1 vehicle theft. According to a report by Amar Ujala, the accused used to conduct recce of locked houses during the day and then enter the houses by using duplicate keys or breaking locks. Police investigation also revealed that the accused has a long criminal history and has been involved in 13 serious crimes previously. The police are now conducting further investigations into all these cases.

Lawrence Bishnoi is a notorious gangster against whom several cases of murder, extortion, and other serious crimes are registered. Despite being in jail for a long time, his gang is believed to be active. Members of the Bishnoi gang are often in the news for targeting businessmen and Bollywood personalities to demand extortion. Investigative agencies believe that the reach of this gang's network is spread across various states of the country. Even in the past, many high-profile threats have been issued in the name of this gang, which has made security agencies alert.
