Athletics stadium with 50,000 seats and shooting centre to be built in Karai Sports Hub

Gujarat is making large-scale preparations for the upcoming 2030 Commonwealth Games (CWG). To organise these games, a plan has been formulated to construct a massive athletics stadium and shooting centre at the Karai Sports Hub. According to a report by The Times of India, the primary objective of this project is to provide international-standard facilities.

This new sports hub will be located within the premises of the Gujarat Police Academy. A total of 143 acres of land has been allocated for this entire project. In this vast area, not only athletics and shooting but also various venues for indoor sports will be prepared. The state's capacity in the field of sports will increase through this international-level sports hub.

As per the plan, the athletics stadium being constructed in the Karai Sports Hub will be extremely grand, featuring an arrangement for 50,000 seats. This stadium will serve as the main centre for various competitions to be played during the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Additionally, a special shooting centre has also been planned for shooting competitions, which will conform to international standards.

Under this project, sufficient space and facilities have been kept not only for outdoor sports but also for indoor sports. This vast 143-acre sports hub will include various types of indoor sports venues, so that athletes of different sports can receive the best training and competitive environment. All these facilities will be developed within the premises of the Gujarat Police Academy.

Thus, through the Karai Sports Hub, a modern and international-level sports infrastructure will be established for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, which will prove to be significant for sports lovers and athletes.
