Paneer samples fail lab tests in Rajkot, 269 kg paneer destroyed

Paneer samples collected by the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) have failed laboratory tests. This investigation was conducted after a ban was imposed on analog paneer in the state. In this test, paneer samples from four different establishments did not meet the quality standards.

According to a report by TV9 Gujarati, the establishments whose samples failed the test include Fortune Food Product of Lati Plot, Shree Gayatri Dairy Farm of Punitnagar, paneer collected from near Satellite Chowk, and loose paneer from Bhagwati Trading. During the Diwali festivals, the Municipal Corporation conducted inspections in a total of 62 establishments, in which 269 kg of inedible food items were destroyed.

The food branch of the Municipal Corporation had also collected paneer samples from another location, which also failed. Analog paneer is considered harmful to health, and there are suspicions that its sale continues despite the ban. It is likely that strict action will now be taken by the health department in this regard.
