A major accident occurred late at night in the Danteshwar Lake area of Vadodara when a driver under the influence of alcohol drove recklessly. According to a report by Sandesh, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to heavy intoxication. The car, speeding from the direction of Danteshwar Lake, crashed directly into an auto-rickshaw parked on the side of the road and subsequently collided violently with an adjacent food cart.

The impact was so severe that the auto-rickshaw's frame was mangled and the food cart was overturned. In this incident, 2 to 3 innocent people standing near the rickshaw and cart sustained serious injuries to their hands, legs, and head. The injured were immediately shifted to Sayaji Hospital (SSG) for treatment via 108 ambulance.

Hearing the loud sound of the accident, local residents rushed to the spot. The driver, upon stepping out of the car, was so intoxicated that he could not even stand on his own feet. The disoriented driver was surrounded on the spot by angry locals and was subsequently handed over to the Makarpura police station.
