Deepotsav to be held at Gandhinagar Akshardham Temple from 8 November with 10,000 lamps

According to a report by Sandesh, a grand Deepotsav has been organised at the world-famous Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar on the occasion of the holy festival of Diwali. The festival will commence on 8 November and continue until 15 November, during which the entire temple premises will be illuminated with divine light.

As part of this arrangement, the temple premises will be lit up with approximately 10,000 lamps and beautiful lighting. During this 8-day festival, devotees arriving from across the country and abroad will be able to witness this celestial sight in the evening. Special arrangements made at the Glow Garden and Nilkanth Vatika will be the main attractions for visitors.

The main highlight of the premises is that the 49-foot-high Nilkanth idol, seated amidst the sacred water streams of 108 Gaumukhs, will be illuminated with special lighting during this Deepotsav. The combination of flowing water and colourful lights will provide devotees with an unforgettable experience.

The tradition of celebrating the festival of lights has been ongoing at the Akshardham Temple for the last 34 years. This year too, following this 34-year-old tradition, a unique enthusiasm for the festival is being witnessed, and a divine spectacle will be presented through special arrangements.
