9-year-old girl dies suddenly in Delhi school classroom

A deeply tragic incident has occurred at a private school located in Mayur Vihar Phase-2, in the eastern part of Delhi, where a 9-year-old girl studying in the third grade died suddenly in her classroom. The incident took place at Lovely Heritage School within the Pandav Nagar police station jurisdiction. When the matter came to light this morning, an atmosphere of grief spread throughout the school and the family.

According to reports today, the girl's health suddenly deteriorated while she was present in her class. As per a report by Dainik Bhaskar, the incident occurred while the girl was speaking with her teacher. At that moment, she suddenly collapsed onto the classroom floor. Teachers attempted to lift her and seat her on a chair, but she was completely unconscious. Due to the fall on the floor, she was bleeding from her chin. Other children present in the class surrounded her, and chaos ensued in the classroom.

School staff stated that the girl had returned to the classroom after completing her games period and appeared to be very tired. School teachers immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital without delay. According to Dainik Bhaskar, she was referred to Malik Hospital in Nirman Vihar, but doctors there declared her dead.

In preliminary investigations, doctors have expressed suspicion that the death was caused by cardiac arrest. However, the exact cause of death will only be clear after the post-mortem report is received. The police have sent the girl's body for post-mortem and have initiated an investigation into the matter. According to the police, no irregularities or suspicious matters have surfaced in the primary investigation so far.

Following this tragic incident, the girl's family members have leveled serious allegations against the school management. Family members have questioned why, despite paying heavy fees, the school did not have adequate medical facilities or arrangements to handle such an emergency. Furthermore, the family has raised questions regarding why CPR was not administered immediately after the girl fell. In response to these questions, the school principal stated that the staff initially believed the cause of the girl's unconsciousness might be an injury sustained from hitting her face; they could not think of any other cause, which is why she was taken directly to the hospital.

Details of this incident have also been captured by the CCTV cameras installed in the school classroom. This incident has caused great shock in the entire area and among the school's parents. Currently, the police are investigating all aspects to ascertain the true causes of death.
