Suspended Sub-Inspector Sundaram Tiwari dies by hanging in Aligarh

A 27-year-old Sub-Inspector, Sundaram Tiwari, has died in Aligarh city, Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday morning, his body was found hanging in a rented accommodation in Chuharpur Mohalla, under the jurisdiction of Bannadevi police station. The incident has sent a wave of shock through the police department. Sundaram Tiwari was posted at the Police Lines and had recently been suspended by the department.

According to reports today, regarding the reasons behind the incident, Sundaram's father Shrichand Tiwari stated that his son had been under severe mental stress for the past few days. Sundaram Tiwari was a Sub-Inspector of the 2023 batch. He was originally a resident of Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh, but was currently residing in Aligarh with his father.

Five days prior to the incident, a video from the office premises went viral on social media. In this video, Sundaram Tiwari was allegedly seen staggering in an intoxicated state. Following the viral video, the police department took serious note and immediately initiated action against him, resulting in his suspension. According to his father Shrichand Tiwari, Sundaram was extremely distressed and stressed after the video went viral and he subsequently received the suspension from his job.

On Wednesday morning, when this tragic incident occurred, Shrichand Tiwari had gone to a temple. Upon returning from the temple, he noticed that the door to Sundaram's room was locked from inside. He made several attempts to open the door, but it would not budge. Sensing the gravity of the situation, he immediately informed the police.

As soon as information was received, a police team reached the spot. When the police broke open the door of the room, Sundaram Tiwari's body was found hanging inside. Upon learning of the incident, senior police officers, including SSP Neeraj Kumar Jadhav, SP City Aditya Bansal, and CO Dhananjay Singh, arrived at the scene.

The police summoned a forensic team to collect evidence. The forensic team conducted a thorough investigation of the scene and gathered necessary evidence. Additionally, photography and videography of the spot were carried out by the police to assist in the investigation.

SP City Aditya Bansal stated that the body has been sent for post-mortem and further legal proceedings are being undertaken in this matter. According to the police, the exact cause of death has not yet been clarified. Although the father has mentioned his son's stress, the actual cause of death will only be known after the post-mortem report and police investigation.

Currently, the police are investigating the case, keeping all aspects in view. Following the news of Sundaram's death, the issue of his viral video and suspension has once again come into discussion. The police department is conducting a deep investigation into the entire incident to bring out the truth.
