Nita Ambani lays foundation stone for Anant Ashray project in Karjat

According to TV9 Gujarati's report, Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, on Sunday laid the cornerstone for the 'Anant Ashray' project under a significant non-profit initiative. This massive residential complex is to be constructed on approximately 100 acres of land in Karjat, Maharashtra. Construction of this complex will be undertaken in a phased manner after receiving the necessary approvals. Nita Ambani laid the foundation stone for this special initiative on the occasion of her birthday, i.e., November 1. Isha Ambani was also present at this foundation stone laying and Bhumi Pujan ceremony.

The official name of this new housing complex has been kept as 'Nita Mukesh Ambani Anant Ashray'. The main objective of this complex is to provide a home-like environment and excellent care to orphaned children, senior citizens, and people with developmental disabilities. This complex will provide shelter to more than five thousand needy individuals. Speaking about this project, Nita Ambani stated in her address that this project is very close to her and her family's heart. She considered this project as a small gift dedicated by a mother to 'Bharat Mata'.

Expressing her sentiment as a mother, she said that her biggest desire is to provide reassurance to parents who constantly worry about who will care for their children after they are gone, so that those parents can rest assured that their children will always have a home and a family. She expressed hope that people of all age groups here will get an opportunity to live a life with dignity and they will be able to welcome every new day with a renewed sense of hope.

According to TV9 Gujarati's report, 'Anant Ashray' is being developed not merely as a simple shelter but as a community where every resident experiences a sense of respect and belonging. Small and family-style homes will be built inside this complex, where residents will be cared for by a dedicated staff. Keeping in mind the unique needs of each individual, special plans will be prepared for healthcare, education, and personal development. This community will receive full support from a team of professionals including doctors, teachers, and other specialists.

Over time, it is estimated that approximately 15,000 people will reside in this community. Special hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physiotherapy units, and other medical facilities will be made available inside this proposed complex. In addition, excellent opportunities will also be provided in the fields of education, sports, music, and arts. The campus will include a beautiful temple, gardens, and a farm developed in collaboration with 'Vantara', which will help increase direct contact and interaction with animals. Along with all these facilities, residents of surrounding villages will also get an opportunity to benefit from some of these facilities.

According to Reliance Foundation, various programs related to employment and skill development will also be conducted on the campus. This will include skill training for bakery operations, cafe management, and other vocational fields so that residents can become self-reliant.
