Nandini Dairy hikes prices of ghee and butter ahead of Diwali

Consumers have faced a blow of inflation ahead of the Diwali festival. The Bengaluru Milk Union (BAMUL) has increased the prices of ghee, butter, paneer, and Tripti milk under the Nandini brand. According to a report by Sandesh (Business), all these new prices have come into effect from November 4.

In the case of Nandini ghee, new prices have been fixed for different packaging as per the circular issued by BAMUL on November 4. This includes changes in the prices of ghee available in PET jars, as well as new rates for large packs and tins.

Regarding the new prices for butter, the price for 200 grams of unsalted butter has been fixed at ₹160 and 500 grams of unsalted butter at ₹390. Additionally, for 10-gram blister packs, the price of butter will be ₹900 per kg.

Apart from ghee and butter, prices for Nandini paneer have also been revised, and consumers will now have to pay new prices according to different packaging. Along with this, the price of Nandini Tripti milk packets has also been increased.

Prior to these changes, the Karnataka Milk Federation had already increased the price of Nandini milk by ₹8 per litre and curd by ₹14 per litre. Now, with the rise in prices of other dairy products, consumers will have to pay these new rates from November 4, 2026.
