Ranbir Kapoor's highly anticipated film 'Ramayana' has been released in cinemas and has made a strong start at the box office. According to a report by Amar Ujala, the film earned a net collection of ₹28.82 crore on its first day. In terms of gross collection, the film earned a total of ₹34.01 crore in India. However, the final earnings figures for the first day are yet to be announced.

Looking at the language-wise earnings details, the Hindi version earned the most. In Hindi, ₹20.95 crore was collected through 11,485 shows. The film also performed well in other South Indian languages, collecting ₹3.45 crore through 701 shows in Kannada, ₹2.83 crore through 942 shows in Telugu, and ₹1.05 crore through 490 shows in Tamil. Meanwhile, the Malayalam version earned ₹54 lakh through 281 shows.

On the other hand, advance booking figures present a different picture. According to a report by Business Standard, Ramayana lagged behind films like 'Dhurandhar 2' and 'Pathaan' in national chain advance bookings. 3.25 lakh tickets were sold for its first day in PVR INOX and Cinepolis chains, placing the film 12th in the all-time national chain rankings.

Currently, 'Ramayana' faces competition from other major films at the box office. According to Amar Ujala, Rajinikanth's film 'Jailer 2' is currently dominating the box office and has crossed the ₹800 crore mark worldwide. Additionally, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's film 'Udta Teer' is also earning moderately. 'Ramayana' will clash with these two films.

The film has been produced under 'Prime Focus Studio' and Yash's 'Monster Mind Creations'. Nitesh Tiwari has directed the film. Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi play the lead roles. Additionally, well-known artists such as Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Anupam Kher, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, and Vivek Oberoi are also seen in the film.

Great enthusiasm was seen among fans even before the film's release. According to the Amar Ujala report, special attention has been given to the VFX in the film, and Yash has delivered an impressive performance in the role of Ravana, while mixed responses have been seen regarding Ranbir Kapoor's acting.
