A special ceremony was organised on November 2, 2026, at Kaushal Bhawan in New Delhi to confer this important recognition. During the event, Smt. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, presented the official recognition certificate to MANAGE. The recognition granted through this certificate will remain valid for a period of the next three years.
This new identity will provide the institution with an opportunity to expand its activities in the field of skill development, which is essential for the agriculture sector and the overall development of the country. In line with the Government of India's vision to prepare a skilled, capable, and entrepreneurial workforce, MANAGE's partnership in agricultural skill development and entrepreneurship will now become stronger. This recognition further strengthens the institution's commitment to advancing agricultural extension, enhancing institutional capacity, and creating a dynamic agricultural workforce in the country.
This initiative and the vision to contribute to the skill development mission were formulated under the leadership of Shri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, IAS, Director General of MANAGE and Joint Secretary (Extension). The team comprising Dr. K. C. Gummagolmath, Dr. Vinita Kumari, and Dr. Shailendra played a significant role in realising this vision.

He further emphasised that this recognition also brings a great responsibility, which will necessitate further strengthening the standards of programme implementation and increasing the institution's contribution to the nation's skill mission.
MANAGE continues to work towards equipping agricultural professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs with necessary knowledge and capabilities through its training programmes, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and various institutional activities. The institution is playing a vital role in enhancing the capacity of agricultural extension workers, promoting innovative approaches, and facilitating the development of entrepreneurship in the agriculture sector.
Regarding the institution's academic programmes, it offers courses such as the Post Graduate Diploma in Agri-Warehousing Management (PGDAWM) and the Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Extension Management (PGDAEM). Additionally, a two-year regular Post-Graduate Diploma programme in Management (Agri-Business Management) is also conducted by the institution.
Established in 1987, the primary objective of this institution has been to strengthen the agricultural extension system in the country. It has been providing training, consultancy, research, and policy support in the field of agricultural extension.
