A shocking incident has emerged in which three members of the Soni family, residing in Narsinhji ni Pol in the Mandvi area of Vadodara, have committed mass suicide. The mother, son, and daughter took this extreme step by hanging themselves in their own home.
According to a report by ABP Asmita, the deceased include 50-year-old mother Artiben Soni, her elder son Nilkanth Soni, and younger daughter Jeni Soni. All three members ended their lives by hanging from a fan.
The incident came to light when a sister who comes to work at the house knocked on the door, but receiving no response from inside, she became aware of the situation. The sound of the AC running in the house caused people to gather, and upon opening the door with the help of locals, the bodies of all three were found hanging inside.
According to a report by Sandesh, this incident occurred on the father's birthday. The head of this family, Chetanbhai Soni, passed away approximately દોઢ (one and a half) years ago, and today was his birthday. Jignesh Soni, a family friend of the deceased, stated that the family was not facing any kind of financial difficulty and their financial status was normal.
As per ABP Asmita, upon learning of the incident, senior police officers including the Vadodara DCP reached the spot. An FSL team has also been called for a scientific investigation. After the panchnama is completed, the bodies will be moved to SSG Hospital for post-mortem. The exact reason behind the suicide is not yet known and the police investigation is ongoing.
