In view of the tradition of gau-seva during the holy festivals of Diwali and Besta Varsh in Ahmedabad, special arrangements have been made at the Karuna Mandirs located in Danilimda and Bakrol. According to a report by Sandesh, a large number of gau-bhakts arrive to feed cows green fodder, laddoos, and jaggery, keeping which in mind, special facilities have been established by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
Long queues form from early morning on the days of Diwali and Besta Varsh for the darshan and service of Gau Mata. To ensure that devotees face no inconvenience, fresh green fodder, dry fodder, oil cake, and pure jaggery have been made available in sufficient quantities at the Karuna Mandirs. Separate counters and lining arrangements have been made to control the crowd.
To maintain cleanliness on the premises, a special team of sanitation workers has been deployed, and pure drinking water facilities have also been provided for visitors. The main objective of this planning is to ensure that every citizen can perform gau-seva with ease.
Karuna Mandirs are managed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and are well-known for gau-seva.
