KBC 18 shooting halted for one week as Amitabh Bachchan's health declines

The shooting of the 18th season of the popular quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) has been currently halted due to the deteriorating health of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. According to reports by IANS and other news media, the show's makers have decided to pause the filming of new episodes for one week due to health-related concerns regarding Amitabh Bachchan. As he has not been feeling well for some time, he has been advised to take rest.

According to reports by Aaj Tak and Amar Ujala, changes in weather may be the primary reason behind Amitabh Bachchan's declining health. Sources suggest that he may have developed a mild fever or flu due to the changing weather. Consequently, his team has decided to give him some time to rest to ensure a full recovery. However, sources clarified that fans need not worry as Big B is now feeling better.

Due to the halt in shooting, changes have also been made to the show's broadcast schedule. Since new episodes are not being filmed, the channel is currently airing old episodes. According to a report by TV9 Gujarati, some episodes from a few weeks ago featuring celebrity guests are being re-telecast as part of the Diwali Special Week.

This situation necessitated a major change in the show's planning. According to sources, a special episode had been filmed with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, and Nitesh Tiwari, who appeared to promote their upcoming film 'Ramayana'. Originally, this episode was planned to be telecast around the film's release. However, due to Amitabh Bachchan's health, the makers had to alter the plan, and instead of waiting for the film's release, the Diwali Special Week was started last week with this very episode.

Regarding Amitabh Bachchan's return to work, sources state that if his health improves, shooting may resume next week. According to reports by Aaj Tak and Amar Ujala, he will return to the set next week after Diwali, and new episodes of the show are likely to be broadcast from November 16. However, this will depend entirely on his health.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan provided an update to fans via his blog on November 07. He wrote that he is gradually returning to his old routine and professional life. He mentioned in his blog that when a person is distanced from their daily life, it is not easy to adapt back to the same routine. He further added that sometimes he does not remember his glasses and mobile phone, and forgets what he was supposed to do next. However, he noted that he still vividly remembers his days in the eighth grade of school. He expressed gratitude for the support received from his fans during this difficult time.

During this period, discussions regarding Amitabh Bachchan's security have also surfaced. According to reports by Amar Ujala and Aaj Tak, the Mayor of Mumbai recently received a threat via email stating that Amitabh Bachchan's residence would be targeted. Furthermore, during the investigation of a firing incident at Tiger Shroff's house, it was revealed that the accused had conducted a recce of Amitabh Bachchan's residence, 'Jalsa'. For these reasons, when he went to meet fans outside his home on Sunday, he was seen standing behind a bulletproof glass wall. His son, Abhishek Bachchan, was also standing with him, ensuring his security. However, sources have clarified that the break in shooting is not due to security concerns, but solely for health reasons.

It is noteworthy that no official statement has been issued by Amitabh Bachchan or his family regarding his health. Nevertheless, according to industry sources and reports, he is recovering quickly and will be seen on the KBC stage again soon.

Amitabh Bachchan is a megastar of Bollywood and has been entertaining audiences for many years through popular quiz shows like 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. The show is known for his unique hosting style and interactions with contestants, which creates immense excitement among viewers for every season.
