Horrific gas cylinder explosion in Bengaluru, incident captured on CCTV

A shocking incident has come to light in the Malleshwaram area of Bengaluru city in Karnataka, where a powerful explosion in a gas cylinder spread panic among the local residents. According to a report by TV9 Gujarati, this entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the location. The details of the incident are that a delivery worker arrived at a house with a gas cylinder. He had brought the cylinder on his shoulder. At that moment, a woman in the house had cleaned the threshold and lit an oil lamp as part of a religious ritual.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the cylinder was leaking gas. When the delivery worker placed the cylinder on the ground near the threshold, the leaking gas immediately came into contact with the lit lamp. As soon as the gas made contact with the flame, a fire broke out. The fire spread so rapidly that within a few moments, a powerful explosion occurred in the cylinder. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media, in which it can be clearly seen how the fire broke out suddenly and was followed by the blast.

Fortunately, no one died or sustained serious injuries in this grave accident. The delivery worker managed to save himself by acting promptly and moving away from the spot immediately. He only sustained minor injuries. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Malleshwaram police and fire department teams reached the spot immediately. An investigation into the matter has been initiated by the police and the fire department. Police officials have instructed the general public, and especially employees associated with gas delivery, to exercise extreme caution while handling cylinders and ensure that there are no sources of fire nearby.

Following this incident, officials from the Malleshwaram police station have appealed to the public to remain vigilant regarding gas safety. Additionally, the TV9 Gujarati report also mentioned another incident that took place in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where a mobile phone exploded. However, this Bengaluru incident has once again drawn everyone's attention to the precautions that must be taken while using gas cylinders.

Bengaluru is the capital of Karnataka state and is considered a major IT hub of India. Malleshwaram is an old and well-known area of Bengaluru, known for its cultural heritage and residential neighborhoods. Law and order in this area is maintained by the police station, and the help of the fire department is sought during such accidents.
