22-year-old Owais Bhat from Pulwama secures AIR 107 in CDS with help of ChatGPT

Owais Bhat, a 22-year-old youth from Pulwama, has achieved a significant milestone by securing All India Rank (AIR) 107 in the UPSC CDS (Combined Defence Services) examination. To achieve this success, Owais took the help of modern technology and prepared by making ChatGPT and other AI tools his mentors.

According to a report by NDTV India, this success did not come easily for Owais. He had previously failed this examination twice. However, he did not give up and achieved this success in his third attempt. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools played a crucial role in his journey, assisting him in his studies.

Owais is now ready for his upcoming journey. He will join the Indian Military Academy (IMA) for training in January next year. His success serves as an inspiration to other students on how superior results can be achieved in competitive examinations by making proper use of new technology.

On another note, OpenAI has introduced a new security feature in ChatGPT, which provides users with the facility to lock their private chats. According to a report by TV9 Gujarati, this 'Locked Chats' feature is particularly useful for those who share their devices with others or share screens during meetings. Once a chat is locked, it does not appear in the regular history, pinned chats, or search results.

To view these locked chats, users must go to the 'Locked Chats' section and enter their account PIN. On some smartphones, these chats can also be opened via Face ID, Touch ID, or device unlock methods. This facility is available for all ChatGPT plans, such as Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu.

In the process of locking a chat, the user must open ChatGPT, go to the chat history, click on the three-dot menu next to the conversation they wish to lock, and select the 'Lock chat' option. First-time users must create a four-digit account PIN. To view locked chats, one can go to 'Projects', click on 'Locked chats', and use a PIN or biometric authentication.

OpenAI has warned that if a user forgets their PIN and resets it, all 'locked chats' will be permanently deleted. Along with this, memories or files secured by the previous PIN will also be removed. To reset the PIN, one can go to Settings > Security and login > Account PIN > Reset PIN. Once these chats are deleted, even OpenAI's support team cannot restore them.
