Vadodara railway station has made special preparations to manage a crowd of approximately 10,000 passengers travelling towards North India, Bihar, and West Bengal during the festivals of Diwali and Chhath Puja. According to a report by DeshGujarat, a passenger holding area of 350 square feet has been prepared on platform number 6.
Facilities such as drinking water, toilets, and an enquiry counter have been made available in this special waiting area for the convenience of passengers. CCTV surveillance has been installed in this area, enabling senior railway officials to monitor the crowd in real time.
To facilitate the movement of passengers, 5 weekly trains are currently operating from Vadodara to various destinations. In the last 14 days, 34 train trips have been operated towards North India and West Bengal.
As there is a possibility of heavier crowds near general coaches, security and queue management have been strengthened. Personnel from the RPF, CRPF, GRP, and Home Guards will be deployed to ensure passengers can board the trains safely. Railway Public Relations Officer Khemraj Meena stated that special attention will be given to crowd management, particularly near the general coaches.
