The city of Ram, Ayodhya, is once again preparing to revive the divine aura of the Treta Yuga. A new chapter is set to be added to this year's Deepotsav amidst garlands of lamps. According to a report by Amar Ujala, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will perform the Rajtilak of Lord Shri Ram while playing the role of Maharishi Vashistha during the Deepotsav scheduled for November 7. Until now, this tradition was observed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, but this time Home Minister Amit Shah will perform the Rajtilak of Ram Lalla and Mata Sita and perform their Aarti.
Special preparations have been made to give this event a Treta Yuga-like form. There are plans to bring the forms of Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, and Shatrughna via helicopters, symbolizing the Pushpak Viman. The grandeur of Deepotsav will not be limited to Ram Ki Paidi alone, but the entire city of Ayodhya will be bathed in the light of lamps and illumination. All buildings around Ram Ki Paidi are being decorated in a single colour.
For the city's decoration, electric lighting is being installed from the electricity poles along the roads to bridges, lanes, neighbourhoods, squares, ghats, and monasteries-temples. A grand Ram Darbar is being prepared in the city's park, where Lord Shri Ram will be seated with Mata Sita, his younger brothers, and Hanuman ji. Seating arrangements for guests are being made right in front of the Ram Darbar. Special arrangements are being made for distinguished guests including Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Anandiben Patel, as well as for saints and religious leaders.
The most attractive sight of Deepotsav will be seen on the banks of the Saryu. Here, Home Minister Amit Shah will perform Maha Aarti with 5100 baatis (lamps). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel will also be present with him on this occasion. A massive platform of 30 by 20 square feet is being prepared for the Aarti. From this platform, the Home Minister will witness the panoramic views of fireworks. The reflection of lamps on the waves of Saryu and the colourful hues of fireworks in the sky will add a new dimension to the grandeur of Deepotsav. This Maha Aarti will be performed by 2147 archakas and batukas.
This grand event will be visible not only to the people reaching the venue but also to other residents of the city. LED screens will be installed at the city's main squares and intersections, through which preparations are being made to show the live broadcast of the entire event, so that maximum people can enjoy these divine scenes.
