Gandhinagar :: On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel upheld the ancient tradition of Indian culture by performing Shastra Pujan (worship of weapons) through Vedic rituals at his residence in Gandhinagar. Through the tradition of Shastra Pujan on this Vijayadashami, which symbolizes the victory of truth over untruth, he highlighted the importance and protection of both 'Shastra' (weapons) and 'Shastra' (scriptures).
The Chief Minister performed the Vedic worship of the weapons used by the security personnel performing duties in his security arrangement within the premises of the CM residence and extended heartfelt Vijayadashami greetings to all security personnel.
On this occasion, providing inspirational guidance to the security personnel, the Chief Minister stated that, along with fulfilling the responsibility of protection and security, remaining constantly active on the path of duty while maintaining feelings of sensitivity, compassion, and good deeds is true Karma Yoga and devotion to duty. The thought of preserving human values along with duty fulfillment and achieving spiritual progress through good deeds is equally important in life.
Superintendent of Police Shri Tejas Patel, who is in charge of the Chief Minister's security arrangements, welcomed the Chief Minister on the occasion of Shastra Pujan. On this occasion, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Police Inspectors, Police Sub-Inspectors, Commandos, and drivers, including other security personnel performing duties in the security arrangement, were present and participated in the Shastra Pujan.
It is noteworthy that the tradition of performing Shastra Pujan at the Chief Minister's residence on the festival of Vijayadashami was started by the illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, which is still being maintained today with a sense of traditional faith and devotion to duty.
