Man commits suicide after murdering wife and two children in Raichur

A heartbreaking incident took place late Saturday night in the Raita Nagar (Jalal Nagar) area of Raichur, Karnataka. A 46-year-old man murdered his wife and two minor children at his residence and subsequently ended his own life.

According to notable details, the deceased have been identified as 46-year-old Vishnu, his 36-year-old wife Aruna, and their children, 10-year-old Shlok and seven-year-old Khushi. Preliminary investigation by the police suggests that Vishnu murdered the family members by suffocation while they were asleep.

Following the incident, an extensive operation was launched to search for Vishnu. During this search, police personnel found Vishnu's body on the railway track near Chikkasugur village in the district. It is believed that he took his life by jumping in front of a train.

According to police sources, it is suspected that the primary reason behind Vishnu taking this extreme step was financial distress. He appears to have been under mental pressure due to heavy losses in business and unpaid debts.

Regarding this matter, Superintendent of Police Arunanshu Giri stated that, prima facie, financial stress appears to be the cause of this incident. However, the exact circumstances leading to this event will only be known after a complete investigation.

Currently, Market Yard police have registered a murder case, while the Railway police have filed a separate case regarding Vishnu's death. This tragic incident has sent a wave of mourning throughout the area. Those who are in distress or experiencing suicidal thoughts can contact the health helpline number 104 for assistance.
