India-US Joint Military Exercise 'Tiger Triumph 2026' Concludes

According to a PIB Delhi report, the fifth bilateral tri-service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise 'Tiger Triumph 2026' between India and the United States concluded with a closing ceremony in Visakhapatnam on 05 November 2026.

This exercise was held from 31 October to 05 November 2026, with personnel from the armed forces of both countries participating. The exercise included a staff exercise and a table-top exercise. The main objective of the exercise was to enhance mutual synergy and strengthen mutual understanding in the planning and execution of joint HADR operations, with special emphasis on joint amphibious operations.

The staff exercise featured operational planning, academic lectures, and Subject Matter Expert Exchanges on contemporary areas such as cyberspace and medical operations, which facilitated the exchange of professional expertise and best practices. Meanwhile, the table-top exercise enabled participating forces to implement plans in a simulated operational environment.

The closing ceremony was attended by Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet Rear Admiral Vishal Bishtnoi and US Pacific Fleet Vice Commander Rear Admiral Joaquin J. Martinez de Pinillos, along with senior officials from both sides.

First held in 2019, this exercise enhances bilateral defence cooperation between India and the US. The successful conclusion of the 2026 edition reaffirms the commitment of both nations to enhance joint capabilities and contribute to peace, stability, and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
