Iran issues stern warning: Strait of Hormuz will only be opened if seven conditions are met

According to a report by Sandesh (Foreign), geopolitical tension and the fear of war in the Middle East region have once again reached a peak. A new nuclear proposal has been sent to Washington by Iran through the mediation of Qatar. According to Iranian officials, the American administration is currently reviewing this proposal.

Mohsen Rezaei, a top Iranian security official visiting Russia, clarified Tehran's stance and reiterated its seven demands. These seven conditions of Iran include the immediate lifting of all financial and economic sanctions imposed by the US, the release of Iranian assets frozen or held as collateral abroad, the end of the naval blockade, the complete withdrawal of US troops from the region, and the payment of compensation for the damages caused by the war.

On the other hand, the US states that the core issue of Iran's nuclear program should be included in the initial stages of the negotiations, which has made it difficult for both parties to reach a consensus. The possibility of military action has become stronger after the US elections. US President Donald Trump has not ruled out signs of strict military action after the elections. Amidst this situation, Iran has also warned that if it is attacked again, a very serious response will be given.

Earlier in the month of February, in response to the military attacks carried out by the US and Israel on Iran, Iran retaliated by firing rockets and missiles at military bases in Israel and Gulf countries. The effects of this conflict have become widespread across the Middle East, where Lebanon's Hezbollah and Yemen's Houthi rebels have also become part of this war. The Qatari proposal has certainly opened a new path for negotiations, but due to the strict stance of both countries, the situation is becoming extremely fragile. The global community and mediating countries are making continuous efforts to prevent a widespread war in the region.
