The main theme of the forum is “Strengthening Parliaments for People-Centric Development.” It will feature four high-level sessions related to resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainability. The discussions will cover strengthening institutions, human-centric innovation in AI and digital technology, greater representation in global governance, and the role of parliaments in a sustainable-inclusive future.
A special meeting of the Chairs of the Parliamentary Committees on International Affairs from BRICS member and partner countries will discuss parliamentary diplomacy, capacity building, and the exchange of best practices. Bilateral and multilateral dialogues will also be held with leaders of delegations and parliamentary friendship groups. A meeting of the secretaries of the delegations will be held on 25 October 2026 to finalize the joint statement.
The forum will feature plenary sessions, parallel meetings, bilateral interactions, and cultural programs. India's Vice President will host a dinner in honour of the special guests. Members of the delegations will visit the Indian Parliament and undertake cultural visits in Delhi. The conference will conclude on 27 October.
